Add-ons

Ask any player whether they use add-ons, and there's a good chance that they'll tell you that they do.

Add-ons are as much a part of World of Warcraft as modding is to the Battlefield games. Players can not only change the look of their user interface using add-ons, they can also use add-ons to keep track of where they farmed what herbs, what they looted off a specific mob, or how much items go for on the auction house.

My Add Ons

I use all types of add ons. My favorites are the ones that allow me to minimize the amount of work I have to do, for example, to change outfits. My second favorites are the ones that allow me to maximize my screen real estate by creating additional action bars for consumables or by putting multiple spells that fit together into one button.

I also love data collection add ons, because they either allow me to remember where I found an item or they allow me to upload my character's information to a website, so that I have access to all of the information that I need about my character wherever I am.

The menu to the left contains links to information about some of my favorite add ons.

Where do I get them?

I get almost all of my add ons from Curse Gaming, but I get a few from World of War's UI site. There are other sites out there, but these are the ones that I'd recommend.

Maybe some day I'll learn how to do my own add ons.
