Welcome to My World

This is my little corner of the world wide web.

Here, I plan to share myself, my passions, my interests, me. Hopefully, this site will slowly grow as I have time to devote to it.

Who am I?

My name is Jennie, and my goal is to start my own web development business. I've done some work, but I haven't really been able to get into it the way I'd like.

I currently work as a software tester for Prosystem fx Engagement, which is used by 61% of the top accounting firms. I enjoy what I do, even though it wouldn't have been my first choice of jobs.

I am a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, however, I'm not sure how much I plan to use that in my career choice. I went for the certification mostly to make sure that I learned what I needed to learn about SQL, so that I could use it in my current job, and in my future web development endeavors.

I'm addicted to an online computer game that eats away most of my free time outside of work. I really need to do something about that.

Ok, so you think I'm a computer geek?

You'd be right, however, that's not all there is. I have a theatre performance degree from Bradley University, and I'd love to have time to get back into the theatre, at least part time.

I like to spend time outdoors when I get the chance, and a newly found hobby geocaching, lets me do that, meet new people, and go on a treasure hunt whenever I feel like it. What could be cooler?

I'm also an amateur photographer. I'm a little rusty right now, since film is kind of a pain to mess with. However, when I get my digital camera, I plan to get back into photography full force.

Finally, when I have time to myself, I love to do crafts. I have a scrapbook of my boyfriend, John, and I that I've been working on, and adding to when the occasion arises. I have way too many needlepoint and counted cross stitch projects that I've started and not finished, or that I've bought thinking I'd make some day and I haven't gotten around to it. I also have way too much fabric and yarn that I plan to sew or knit at some point. If only I could afford to quit my job and do crafts full time. That would solve it.
